Brighton-Allston Historical Society and Heritage Museum will host “Allston-Brighton Rock: The Early Years” on Monday, Feb. 24 at 7 p.m. at the Brighton-Allston Congregational Church, 404 Washington St.

“In the parks and clubs, from apartmments to basements, there was a vibrant music scene in our towns,” said a flyer for the event. “From The Doors in Brighton Center to Aerosmith at Bunratty’s and U2 at the Paradise, join us to see and hear how Brighton and Allston made their contributions to American rock and roll.”

Historical society governing board members John Broderick and Nick Racheotes will lead the presentation.
