Midway Artist Studios houses 89 live-work studios located in three adjoined brick buildings, which were formerly wool warehouses, built in 1911 and remodeled in 2005 as an adaptive reuse project. The building was purchased by Midway Artist Collective in 2014 and is run as an artist-run rental under a nonprofit model, providing affordable housing in a rapidly developing neighborhood. Artists living in the building work in media that range from painting to photography, jewelry to sculpture, performing arts to filmmaking, and more.
Guided tours of the building will be held at 2PM and 4PM on a first-come, first-served basis on Saturday only.
