Located on a prominent site at the entry to the hospital’s downtown campus, this freestanding hospital museum is the first of its kind in the United States. Reflecting Massachusetts General Hospital’s achievements, culture, and place in the community, the museum showcases the evolution of medicine and surgery at the hospital and the innovative science and research behind it through interactive media displays, artifacts, and images. Don’t miss the rooftop garden, which hosts more than 30 kinds of trees, shrubs, grasses, vines, and ground covers along with sweeping views of the Beacon Hill neighborhood and State House dome.
While you're here, don't miss the nearby Bulfinch Building and Ether Dome, also part of MGH.
**TOUR IS SOLD OUT. Tour at 2pm includes the Ether Dome; space is limited. Advance registration required; email firstname.lastname@example.org.
