Opened in 2015, Lunder Arts Center is the new home of the Lesley University College of Art and Design. During construction, the adjacent 170-year-old North Prospect Church was relocated 100 feet to the south of its former location to make way for the new building, which connects to the church (the current home of the Moriarty Library) by a three-story, glass-walled corridor. The new facility is home to galleries, classrooms, studios, digital and other laboratories. Designed to LEED Gold standards, the center establishes a nexus for Arts in Porter Square, providing new avenues of artistic engagement through publicly accessible galleries and resources.
