The BNN Charles J. Beard II Media Center is the home of Boston Neighborhood Network, where Boston residents and nonprofits get training and create their own programming for cable TV and the web. For 80 years the former Egleston Square Power Station powered elevated trains that ran up and down Washington Street. After being vacant for 20 years, the building was reborn in 2007 as the BNN Media Center. Awarded LEED Silver certification by the U.S. Green Building Council, it has been recognized with awards for excellence in historic preservation. Tours on both days 12pm - 2pm led by Scott Payette.
