    Boston’s first residential building to have a living green roof, this building is famed for its sustainable design and environmentally friendly living environment.  It has also just been named to the 2008 list of the top 10 sustainable buildings in the nation by the American Institute of Architects.

    Meet in front of the Boston Children’s Museum
    Tour led by Learning By Design in Massachusetts, a children's design education program of the Boston Society of Architects
    During this hands-on walking tour children and their families (appropriate for children ages 7 and up accompanied by an adult) will explore the architecture of Fort Point Channel. Through hands-on activities, participants will observe, touch, draw and do texture rubbings as we search for architectural elements. We will learn vocabulary to describe what we see and discover the history and visual diversity that has made Fort Point Channel such a vibrant part of Boston. Materials provided.
