Building on a Legacy: The Gardner Museum’s New Wing *Waitlisted*

Preview the Renzo Piano–designed new wing of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and hear how the new building will relieve the beloved ’Palace’ so it can be restored and preserved for future generations. The design features four floating volumes above a transparent glass floor and a glass greenhouse/artists’ apartments pavilion (open to the public), and a welcoming entrance facing Evans Way Park. Gardner staff discuss the materials, designs and programming of the new wing, outlining the interaction between the two buildings to form one museum.
