Meet at the Bunker Hill Community College Main Entrance (off the 2nd Floor Outdoor Plaza)
BHCC Director of Sustainability Paul Wolf III guides this interactive tour of this LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environment Design) Gold–certified building.. The 48,000-square-foot structure is one of just two buildings in the 15-campus Massachusetts community college system to receive the LEED GOLD designation and the first to be certified under the stringent LEED v2.2 rating system. The building includes classrooms, offices, a gymnasium, a fitness center and state-of-the-art laboratories serving the college’s rapidly expanding healthcare programs. The tour highlights features that conserve resources, reduce environmental impacts and demonstrate the building’s use as a tool for sustainability-related education and community outreach.
